"No Business Like Shoah Business"

Today in my Jews and the Holocaust class, we discussed the Holocaust in Memorial. We talked about the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, art, fiction, memoirs, and film. And then we talked about some controversial uses of the Holocaust in our culture, such as a jazz/blues song called Dachau Blues, the Producers, an episode of Star Trek, and a few others. But far and away the weirdest one was this.

Yes, that's a Concentration Camp LEGO set. No, it's not a joke. It's art, actually. And a statement about a lot of things, including the sell-ability of the Holocaust. I just think that it's disturbing. I don't think using a popular children's toy was quite the best way to go about that.
