Road Trip

So, road trips have always meant getting up really early and leaving early; 8am would be a late start. So Jeff says he’ll be at my door at 8am--he showed up at 9. By the time we got my stuff in and I said goodbye to Mary and Bridget, the last two of the girls, it was 9:30. Then, a quick stop at campus turned into 2 hours in the rain, and we were finally getting gas at 11am and headed to the freeway to get out of town. It was a fun trip and we sang along to our Road Trip mix CDs most of the time. We stopped in Zion National Park and took a short hike to a lookout point and had our lunch up there. It was beautiful and a nice break. Jeff took a break from driving to take a nap before we left again, and then it was the last leg of the trip home. We got back into Peoria around 11pm, a little tired, but no worse for wear.

We also saw the Thunderbird Restaurant just outside the entrance to Zion. They had some issues trying to transcribe a segment deletion without using IPA.
